An effective way of illuminating artwork on the wall. Unlike tilt downlights and frame downlights the lamp enclosure (or head) pulls out of the ceiling plate which allows for more adjustment at the higher angles needed to illuminate a wall at higher level i.e. the top of your artwork.
While tilt downlights can be used to wash a wall with light (when fitted close to the subject wall) illuminating artwork from above will often result in shadows and can ruin the effect of textured paint surfaces.
