Illuminated Frosted Glass Shelf - 4 Sizes

This is a well designed product for several reasons. First place any posh glass containers or perfume bottles on this shelf and they'll look really great with the light shining through them. Secondly, because the underside of the glass is frosted and the top is smooth, any spillage of lotions or potions won't stain the glass.

Aluminium body and 8mm toughened glass, takes a T5 6400ºk lamp.

These shelves incorporate a switch to the underside.

Notes on installation:
When the lamp needs to be replaced it must come out of either end - there is no front access - consider this carefully when locating in tight spaces or fitting shelves next to each other to make a long run. You may have to remove the housing from from the wall to replace the lamp. Forward planning and consideration makes it an easier task.


Fixing is via wall plugs and screws which engage with keyway slots on the rear of the aluminum extrusion.
The removal of the end caps and sliding out the fluorescent fitting (which simply unplugs) makes it much easier to tighten the screws for a really firm fixing.

I need to know the cable entry dimensions as the room is being plastered this weekend and i need to get the cable in. The cable entry is found at the far bottom right hand corner of the shelf fitting.

Hi do you do any black glass light shelves We can't see how the light would shine through black glass. If you are talking about a black surround we'd suggest overspraying with high temperature mat black paint from Halfords.

Does the glass shelf just slide or push into the fitting separately from the leds and if so would I be able to get my local glass merchant to cut 15mm off the back as my alcove is only 170mm deep. Yes the shelf just pushes into a slot in the wall mounting. The glass is toughened so it's pretty hard to cut without shattering. A glazier could however cut and send the glass away for heat treatment.

Are these shelves suitable for a bathroom? These shelves are not IP rated and so are only suitable for use in a bathroom if used in zone 3 or beyond. For information relating to bathroom zones see here.

Do they come in any other colours? The 900mm wide shelves can take a blue 21w fluorescent lamps. For other shelf length you will need to use either lamp sleeves or coloured gel to change the colour. Theatre lighting suppliers stock these Google "Rosco U.K".

2 questions: How deep are the shelves? How much weight will they support? The shelves project by 185mm and whilst there is not a specified maximum loading we would suggest that it should not exceed 15kg per linear metre evenly distributed.
