Want a fog free shaving or vanity mirror?
Choose an illuminated shaving mirror with a G9 halogen or E14 tungsten lamp. Heat from the lamp will very quickly demist the mirror surface. Notes on magnification levels:
As we get older the focal point of our eyesight changes. If you use reading glasses we would suggest a 5x magnification mirror. If your eyesight is ok or you wear your glasses in the bathroom a 3 x magnification is more appropriate – a saving mirror with x3 magnification allows the user to see more of their face in the mirror. Magnifying mirrors can be used by either men or women. They are ideal for close shaving or applying cosmetics.
Bathroom zones:
All our illuminated shaving mirrors are suitable for use in a bathroom. Check the detail on each mirror to see the bathroom zones where your mirror can be used. Zone 2 illuminated mirrors tend be operated by pull cords. Zone 3 illuminated mirrors may have a switch or a pull cord. Illuminated bathroom mirrors are not suitable for bathroom zone 1 - it is not safe under any circumstance to have an illuminated shaving mirror in a shower cubicle. Wiring for your illuminated shaving mirror:
All of our illuminated shaving mirrors need to be wired into the wall. They do not have a trailing lead or curly lead with shaver socket plug for use in a shaver socket. If you are in any doubt about how to wire in an illuminated shaving mirror please consult a qualified electrician.
One thing that is often overlooked when buying bathroom accessories is a good quality illuminated mirror.
