Can this lamp be screwed/attached directly to a wooden deck? The pictures look as though it is positioned in the ground! It is possible to screw this lamp post straight to your decking however we would suggest you put additional support underneath your deck to spread the load and to reduce the likelihood of damage in strong winds.

is it compatible with electrical systems here in the United states? This item cannot be shipped to the USA because of size/weight - sorry
