Is this fitting fully sealed with a glass shield? IP65 means water jets under pressure will not enter the fitting and no solid items bigger than dust can enter either. There is a toughened glass built into the housing.

Hi I am looking to install this into an exterior overhanging porch. Do I need to buy a transformer or anything else along with the main downlight to install it and get it working? Yes, you will need to purchase a transformer and a lamp. Our standard transformer ref:SAMET60R will do the job and just a standard 50w MR16 lamp.

Can the IP65 soffit downlight/s be safely installed in a vented pvc soffit between rafter tails and below roof sheathing as entrance lighting? Why? Unable to find IC recessed housings to fit limited space. In this location we would suggest the use of a 35 watt lamp rather than the normal 50 watt lamp.
