can you tell me if the bulbs for this lamp are waterproof? it will be used for an exterior front door.
The fitting has a IP rating of 44, so it offers protection from splashed water and therefore is perfect for use near a exterior front door.

Can the single down lighter be put on a wall close to the ceiling?
ie does it have to be so many mm from the ceiling ,for cooling etc
The single lamp version can be mounted as close to the ceiling as required. There are no ventilation requirements.

Could this fitting be used to light the ground under an entrance canopy, edge mounted. It would be mounted 2.7m above the ground
This fixtures has an IP rating of 44. It is splash proof and can be located on any external wall with or without the protection of a canopy.
