What does the light pattern look like against normal brickwork rather than a white background....does it still give an acceptable effect? Do you have any pictures like that? You will get the same effect with regards to shape regardless of the wall surface, however you may find that it does not appear as defined when placed on a plain brick wall compared to one that is white due to the colour contrast.

Please could you let me know if this product requires a transformer? Only a mains supply is required. The lamp used is a mains halogen lamp with a G9 base. The light fitting is not supplied with a lamp but there is a link to these on the listing under details.

Is the glow from the top longer than from the bottom (as shown in the picture)? Can this light be fitted upside down to have the longer glow at the bottom? The light beam from the top of the fitting is manipulated through a curved lens resulting a narrowed beam, this can be seen more clearly when thumbnail image is enlarged. Fitting can be mounted the other way up if required.

We need a light that can show a reasonably strong beam up indoors to a vaulted ceiling as well as ambient light down. These look like a good option, but in your experience is the light given out reasonably strong to reach up and create the above effect or would you recommend an alternative? Without knowing the sizes of your space and height of the ceiling this is difficult to answer. We suspect you need something with a little more oomph as this only uses a 40 halogen capsule to generate both up and down light. Call us so we can discuss you needs.

Can these lights be dimmed if used inside? Does the blue diffuser make all of the light blue, or just parts of it? These lights are often used indoors with great effect. On the blue version the side emitted light is blue - with the main up and down light remaining white.
