would this be suitable for downlighter to illuminate a house sign on a stone wall? Yes, assuming the it is fitted only a short distance from the sign you wish to highlight.

Are you able to tell me the angle of the side lights from vertical and the approx reach of the beam? 90° angle from right to left. From a height of 2 metres the light distribution reaches 500mm.
