These European ceiling fans are a breath of fresh air from the mediocre ceiling fans normally offered to the UK buyer. Designers including Yago Sarri and Benedito Design have come up with a stylish range of practical ceiling fans often incorporating lighting and all controlled by a hand held remote control.
These ceiling fans are all suitable for spaces up to 40m² and unlike many ceiling fans on offer in the UK these only require a single (or existing) electrical feed making them stylish and easy to install.
Why Install a fan?
In summer ceiling fans rotate and give off a soft breeze that kick starts air circulation. Moving air prevents the accumulation of heat in the room. If your space has an air conditioning unit the ceiling fan circulates the fresh, cooled air and this often means the a/c unit does not need to work at full capacity and can result in savings of up 40% on running costs.
In winter the fan can be used in reverse to draw warm air near the ceiling and distribute this evenly throughout the space. Being able to reduce your thermostat setting buy just 1ºC can reduce your heating bill by 6%.
