We'd suggest a hole of no more than 90mm to ensure a snug fit and use a padsaw to enlarge this slightly if required.

Have recently received and now fitted 6 of these downlighters, to replace old outdated "eyball" downlighters. For the price, I was not sure what to expect, in terms of quality. I was pleasanly surprised, they are excellent, easy to fit into an existing 90mm cut out, and look good. I am currently working my way through my house, decorating and carrying out alterations, and I shall certainly be ordering some more of these lighters as I progress. I could not find anywhere on the packaging to indicate where they were made. I would like to think that, by the look and "feel" of them that they were made in the UK? Are these dimmable? Yes, when fitted with standard GU10 halogen lamps.

Hi what is the minimum size hole for this fitting many thanks The required 'hole' (cut-out) size for these fittings is 90mm in diameter.

Are these available in brass? This particular downlight is not available in brass.

Can these be fitted with LED bulbs. Is there a matching light to fit a 70mm hole. The open back design of this downlight means that LED lamps can be used. LED lamp the same size as halogen lamps are going to give the most adjustment. Bigger and longer LED lamps may have restricted adjustment because the lamp will strike the housing/bezel. There are no adjustable lights with a 70mm cut out however we do have a fixed downlight in the same finish that will be a perfect fit. You can find it here.

What is the recess depth for this light? The physical depth is around 75mm. We would suggest a void at least 120mm deep.
