Fans of Captain Scarlet all know that Spectrum is green but with this funky fluorescent pendant Spectrum can be a host of different colours too.

A great fitting ideal for use over the breakfast counter or in the office to provide a point of interest.

Height is adjustable at time of installation form 250mm-1500mm.

While the side panels are coloured you do not get vivid colours on your desk just white light from high output T5 triphosphor lamp running on high frequency flicker-free control gear.

Does this have a bar along the top that fixes to the ceiling - and if so what colour is it? The 'Spectrum' is suspended from two silvergrey conical fixing points measuring 50mm in diameter and 60mm in height.

Shown as having a 35W tube can they support a 58W or even greater and if so is a different starter needed? No these have a dedicated ballast for a T5 16mm 35w fluorescent tube. No other lamp will fit or operate in this fitting

How is the light powered, is there another cable that goes to the centre of the fitting or is it via the side wires? And is there a transformer that has to be fitted separately from the conical fittings? Spectrum uses a 35w fluorescent lamp and the ballast is built into the coloured housing. The incoming mains supply enters the coloured housing at one end with a flex next to the wire suspension. You do not have to route the flex through the conical ceiling fixings, you could use an existing ceiling rose if preferred.

I just had one of these fitted and am surprised at how bright the 35w tube is... was hoping for something a little more atmospheric. Will it take a lower wattage bulb than a 35w...? Only a 35w T5 Lamp is suitable for this lamp.
