What would the equivalent brightness of a conventional bulb be? I have a shower room 1.5m x 2m with no natural light, how many of these would you recommend? In that size bathroom we'd suggest four recessed spots with 35w halogen lamps. As there's no natural light you might prefer it brighter so could use 50w lamps. This LED gives as much light as a 20w lamp so you'll need a few! To avoid a cluttered ceiling you may be better using it's larger 12v halogen brother and changing the lamps at a later date once decent high output LED retrofit lamps are available at a reasonable cost.

We have an extension with pitched roof and an interior pitched ceiling - however we have been told that because there is no ceiling void that we can't have recessed halogen lights. Would LEDs be a suitable alternative? There are now a range of recessed light specifically designed to be installed with blanket insulation over the top. The LED versions of this fitting may also be installed in rigid foam insulation. These will be listed on the site shortly. In the meantime contact our office for information.

Our ceiling is made of a drywall (gypsum cardboard) and have a layer of 40 cm thick mineral wool flocks direct on it. Are these lights adequate for being installed into the ceiling? Yeah these fittings are suitable. You will need to cut some of the mineral wool where the lights are being placed.
