Putting lights on different switches or circuits or using localised switching allows you to alter the mood in a bathroom. More light for shaving or applying make-up and less light for a relaxing soak in the tub.
Don’t forget that bathroom lighting can now be dimmed with a pull cord dimmer unit. It simply replaces the existing bathroom pull cord. Alternatively get your electrician to replace the pull cord with a dimmer unit just outside the door.
All of our illuminated bathroom mirrors can be hardwired onto either a switched or unswitched lighting circuit. If your mirror is on the switched circuit the mirror will illuminate when you switch on the mains light (and can be switched off locally). But remember if your mirror is put onto a permanent live you can switch on the mirror lighting without switching on the main light.
