What is the suggested switch for this light or does one come with it?
This is an unswitched fitting, designed to be wired directly to the mains circuit. It will be switched using the main switch to that circuit.

Is this light dimmable?
Yes this fitting is dimmable.

How wide is the beam angle on this lamp?
The lamp is a capsule and is housed behind a piece of frosted glass. As a result it has a very broad light distribution.

Is there glass above and below the bulb?
Yes there is glass above and below the lamp - illuminating the mirror and the ceiling.

I am thinking of using this light over a 70cm tall x 60cm wide mirror above a bathroom basin. Would you recommend a single light or more than one for this?
Due to the lamp being a G9 capsule lamp and being behind frosted glass it will give a very broad beam of light. Depending on where you position this light above your mirror will determine how many you need. Installed centrally above your mirror should be sufficient.
