The mirror is on a double knuckle arm allowing it to be folded back close to the wall. This switched x3 magnified shaving mirror complete with G9 mains halogen lamp.
For shaving and close up work a mirror with 3x magnification works well. This shaving mirror is on a double arm - which hinges at the wall, behind the mirror and in the middle allowing it to fold back against the wall – directly in front of the wall fixing.
Shaving mirrors with lights not only look great but provide the necessary illumination to the face when applying cosmetics or shaving. To give a magnified view the mirrored glass needs to be concave. We are asked to provide shaving mirrors with flat glass but this not possible.
The mirror glass (and lamp housing behind), tilts up and down. It may also be fixed in position by tightening a thumbscrew.
While there are obvious advantages of using the energy saving version of this shaving mirror it should be noted that heat from the halogen lamp version will keep the mirror free of condensation. For best operation switch the illuminated shaving mirror on before a shower. When you exit the shower you will not have condensation on the mirror.
Notes on the choice of lamps: The G9 mains lamp will provide good colour rendering for application of make-up. Notes on wiring: This shaving mirror will need to be hard wired into your lighting circuit. You should consult an electrician for further information.
