Extends 300mm (12 inches) and folds back to only 85mm from the wall (the two part arm folds into the housing)

Uses a bright energy saving 22w T5 circular fluorescent lamp running on high frequency electronic flicker-free control gear. Lamp generates 1800 lumens - as much light as a 150w tungsten lamp with lower running costs and longer lamp life. Part L compliant fitting - over 80 lumens per circuit watt.

250mm diameter with sandblasted edge to mirror providing diffused light. Back plate has a 160mm diameter. 5x magnification.

This mirror is supplied with a 22W 3000º warm white lamp. However if you would like a 4000º cool white lamp these can be purchased from ourselves by using the spare lamps link on this listing,

I struggled with the concept of spending this amount on money on a mirror. £250 (with lamp) is a lot of cash to me but with the 14 day returns policy I could always send it back if I didn't feel the mirror was good value for money. In the box it looks good. On the wall it looks fabulous and is much admired. I'd have loved it to have been cheaper but occasionally you have to spend a little extra. Is the mirror magnifying please? Yes, the mirror is 5x magnified. Thank you for pointing out this obvious omission, our product listing has now been updated.

Does it come with the lamp or does that have to be bought separately? This fitting is supplied without lamp. The lamps are available in two colour temperatures and are listed below the product. The lamp are very long life and will last in excess of 10,000 hours in normal use.

Is there an ideal magnification for a shaving mirror? Hansgrohe go for x1.7 others go up to x3. This one, at x5 seems very high. Those that demand a really close shave (including those awkward hairs under the nostrils) demand a 5x magnification. Regular users prefer 3x magnification - allowing the user to see more of their face and crack on with getting their shave over and done with quickly and effectively. Less than 3x magnification is not much use.

Is enough heat produced from the lamp to ensure it doesn't mist up? Whilst this is an excellent mirror it uses a fluorescent lamp which is not going to get hot enough to demist the mirror straight away. If you're happy switching on the light before you shower it will be condensation free when you have finished in the shower. For rapid demisting a mirror with a halogen light source may be a better solution.

Does the mirror extension arm allow it to be positioned to one side as well as directly forwards? Yes the bi-fold arm allows the mirror to move left and right of the wall plate.

Yes we can dispatch goods to all Channel Islands via our couriers without VAT - there is however an additional cost for courier delivery outside the UK. We are unable to offer delivery via Royal Mail without charging VAT due to the hurdles we have to jump with HM Customs. Does the mirror have an on and off switch? This mirror is fitted with a rubberised rocker switch, situated to the base of the mirror.
