Waterproof 300va low voltage transformer

Waterproof is not a claim that can be made about many things but this transformer is IP68 so can be used pretty much anywhere. Torodial wire wound technology, cast in resin with compression joints and rubberised primary and secondary leads - 1000mm long. Will operate 3 x 100w lamp, 4 x 75w lamps, 6 x 50w lamps, 8 x 35w lamps, 15 x 20w lamps... or combinations thereof to suit your needs.


On some lighting circuits a Type C MCBs may have to be used to avoid tripping because of the higher current associated with this type of transformer - these only cost a few pounds.

I want to connect four 40W lamps to the 12v output (I intend extending the number of lamps later). Do I connect the lamps in parallel or in series? Only Christmas tree lights and LED lamps that require a constant current should be wired in series. As your load is just resistive i.e. a filament, you must connect your lamps in parallel.
