Is it possible to fit low energy bulbs in this light fitting? This fitting is designed for use with MR16 low voltage lamps. In most instances it is possible to replace the MR16 lamp holder with a GU10 one, but this particular fitting does not have the room necessary to fit a GU10 retrofit lamp, and so unfortunately it is not possible to use low energy bulbs.

I am in the US, will there be a problem with electricity differences between US and Europe? UK transformers are made to step down 240 volt to 12 volt i.e. output 5% of the input voltage. If you were to use these transformers on the US 110 volt primary supply you would end up with 5.5 volt on the secondary side and the lamps would not operate correctly.

Are these lights bright enough for 1 to be used on its own as porch light? One of these lights will typically provide enough light for an area of 2 square metres (not 2 metres squared) assuming a maintenance factor of 1. In use in exterior locations the lights are more likely to have a maintenance factor of about 0.8, so if it is a VERY small porch then yes it should provide enough light.

Could you tell me what ip stands for when buying spotlights? IP means Ingress Protection. The higher the numbers the greater the protection against solid object (1st digit) and water (2nd digit). IP65 means dustproof and jetproof.
